Ostomy Toronto Newsletter | February 2022
President's Report
February 2022

Well we certainly have had our share of snow this winter. I can’t remember a year that we had
this much snow.

Recently we had Ostomy Armor try to join our meeting, all went well on our end, however unfortunately no one attending this meeting was able to hear Gillian, the Ostomy Armor representative. So after about 20 minutes we agreed they would come back in March to try again. We still had a fantastic meeting just chatting. There was 4 new people join this
meeting.

I'm looking forward to having Ostomy Armour back in March. They manufacture a ostomy guard from aluminum, which are nice to have if you are doing things that may require some protection. I have had one for a number of years now, I wear it on my motorcycle in case of an accident.

We will have 2 meetings this month but we will try Microsoft Teams. Look for email invites with the login details and instructions. The dates for the meetings are March 8 and March 29 2022 at 730 pm via Microsoft Teams.

As it looks like the restrictions are starting to get lifted, I would like to plan an Ostomy Toronto summer social, like a BBQ or something like that. If you have any suggestions please email me as I'm open to all ideas.

With the warmer weather coming remember to drink more fluids and look twice for motorcycle
riders.

Stay safe and healthy

Thanks for your support
Jim Fitzgerald
