Well with the summer months coming up we will be slowing down at Ostomy Toronto, but you can always call me directly at any time for support. Sometimes all we need to get through the day is to have someone to listen to us about our struggle at that point in time, so please remember anyone anytime can call or text me I'm always here for you.
Once again, this month we have two Zoom meetings scheduled:
After the success of our general rap session last month, we will be moving forward with these open forum meetings called Monthly Peer Support Meetings.
The next Peer Support Meeting is Tuesday, June 8, 2021 at 7:30 pm. Join us for a chat with Ostomy Toronto and fellow ostomates, caregivers, and members of the community. Ask questions, share stories, and meet new people.
On Tuesday, June 22, 2021 at 7:30 pm, our Monthly Meeting features Dianne Garde, who has been an ET for about 50 years I believe. She will be speaking about traveling with an ostomy. Dianne does a great presentation on this topic, I'm looking forward to hearing her speak.
Please note: June will be the last meetings before our Summer Break. Meetings and Newsletters will resume in September.
I truly hope everyone has a very happy and healthy summer. Get as active as you can dont let your ostomy hold you back. I'm looking forward to hearing what people did this summer.
I know you will find me either fishing camping or riding my Harley.
Thanks for your continued support,
Jim Fitzgerald
Ostomy Toronto President
