Ostomy Toronto Newsletter | March 2021
President's Report
Well I am glad to see the snow and ice is finally gone, time for warm weather fun. I recently got our motorcycles out from storage now it's time to ride.

Some exciting news from Ostomy Canada Society; they have hired John Hartman as Executive Director in charge of the day to day operations. I'm looking forward to working with John on the National Board of Directors and see what new ideas and direction he will bring. I think this has been long overdue, I wish John good luck and success in his new role.

The April meeting features Ryan Hodgkinson, an Ostomate and Certified Pilates Instructor from Washington, DC. He will be speaking about healthy stretching with an ostomy. I'm really looking forward to Ryan speak; you can check him out at twistpilates.com.Hopefully you can join us.

We are still accepting suggestions and ideas for World Ostomy Day happening on October 2, 2021. We'd like to do something really great, especially after the past year! After everything everyone's been through this past year, we would like to do something special. If you have any ideas to share, please send an email with your suggestions to info@ostomytoronto.com, or directly to me at jimfitzgerald40@gmail.com.

Thanks for your continued support; stay safe and healthy.

Thanks,
Jim Fitzgerald
Ostomy Toronto President

Meet the Ostomy Toronto Team: Urooba
Every month, we will be introducing a member of the Ostomy Toronto. This month, we'd like to introduce you to Urooba Ahad.
I am a third-year student at Brock University studying biomedical sciences. I love researching, reading and learning about the brain, hormones, mental health and mindset practices. Some of my hobbies include podcasting, reading, painting, working out and nature! I joined Ostomy Toronto because I am so passionate about the art of service and inclusion, and OT offers that to their members.
